A huge thank you to two of our supporters who recently took on serious physical challenges to raise money to enable children and young people to fulfill their potential.
Laurence Marshbaum, founder of our Young Professionals Network, joined over 40,000 dedicated runners to take part in the world’s most popular race, the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019.
“I had always said that I would never run a marathon as "I don't really like running." These views have now been reformed after what was truly a memorable experience running through the streets of London with people 10 people deep roaring my name. The feeling to finish in a time of 3 Hours and 43 Minutes in my first attempt was one of pure satisfaction and fulfillment and even more so in the knowledge that I had raised over £5,000 in the good support of One to One Children’s Fund a Charity close to my heart .”
Long term supporter, Tracy Benjamin, took on another huge challenge. Tracy and his team ran 14km and navigated 25 obstacles over 3h30, taking part in Tough Mudder.
“We burned around 2600 kal and spent a lot of time in freezing water! I was very cold. But it was really worth it, because with your help I raised over £3,000 (including gift aid) for three amazing charities, including One to One Children’s Fund to share equally.”
A huge thanks to both Laurence and Tracy for their fantastic efforts. Inspired? We have places in the upcoming Prudential Ride London or you can take on your own fundraising challenge in support of One to One Children’s Fund. Contact office@onetoonechildrensfund.org for more details.
