JRAN
The Joint Refugee Action Network (JRAN) is a network of grassroots and charitable organisations working with refugees & asylum seekers in the UK, supported by One to One Children’s Fund.
Our aims:
To create and develop a community of organisations and individuals within the refugee sector
To share knowledge, skills and connections
To mobilise, strengthen and take joint action to bring about positive change in refugee-related policy and service delivery through shared values.
Our vision:
For all refugees living in the UK to receive access to accommodation, support and services that leads to integration and personal development.
Our goals:
1. To build and support an engaged network of organisations working with refugees.
2. To provide forums and online platforms for knowledge sharing.
3. To champion and share innovative solutions and delivery models.
4. To share evidence and collaborate in coordinated advocacy initiatives and partnerships.
Ultimately, we seek to build a powerful network for collaboration, training and knowledge exchange.
How are we run?
JRAN is run by a steering committee made up of volunteers, who are currently taking forward actions from the first JRAN Forum in August 2020.
Funding
JRAN is a charitable project under the auspices of One to One Children’s Fund, registered charity no. 1086159.
Our story
JRAN was set up in June 2020, following a New North London Synagogue Zoom meeting to discuss the challenges refugees and asylum seekers were facing due to Covid-19. This prompted a group of volunteers to set up the first JRAN Forum in August 2020. Read more about the first JRAN Forum.
(Donations will be processed by One to One Children’s Fund (registered charity no. 1086159) and passed on to JRAN.)
